1. Welcome
Thanks for reading this update from inframes.com, the creative internet technology company.
A message from the editor:
Some people may think us outdated for having "dotcom" in our company name but
it gave us all a good laugh last summer when a young lady, whose name we may
never know, called in asking to speak to the manager of "inframes Dot Cotton".
Indeed, in our blessed innocence, little did we know in 1999 the problems
associated with being a dotcom company in 2003. All I can say in our defence is that
everyone seemed to be doing it. And yes, if everyone had been jumping off a
cliff, we probably would have done that, too.
Years later, burdened with the obvious economic stigma now associated with
internet ventures, we can at least take comfort from the fact that we've made a
profit every year for three years.
And we can hope that a decade from now, being a dotcom will quaintly distinguish
us as one of the survivors.
Happy new year to you from inframes.
Jon Ewing

2. WTPS archive
There are more than 16,000 stories in the What The Papers Say archive now and
they are of course all available online in a searchable index. But now - partly in an
effort to improve our search engine positioning - we've also produced a clickable
index of every single WTPS working weekday since we kicked off in 1999. So, if
you want a reminder of what happened in the world on your birthday two years
ago, click here.
3. Big 2002 News Quiz
Thanks to all of the companies who supplied prizes for the Big 2002 News Quiz on
the What The Papers Say website, in particular www.luxuryscotland.co.uk, who
offered up the Grand Prize of a "spa and golf experience" for two people at the St
Andrews Old Course Hotel. It's not over yet, so
think you know your newspapers. Alternatively,
the Little 2002 News Quiz just for fun.
4. "Blitz This" Sponsorship Package
We now offer a 100% saturation banner advertising programme on What The Papers Say incorporating both the website and all of the outgoing daily What The Papers Say emails for just £500+VAT for 30 days.
This trial offer may only be available for a short period. So email jon@inframes.com for bookings or click here for more information.
5. Cool sites
TTR2
Want to know how to make the origami Millenium Falcon, find the trailer for Terminator 3 or see Kylie Minogue in a wet t-shirt? This database of viral emails - promotional or otherwise - is updated almost every day.
Commercial Breaks & Beats
Wondered who did the music for the latest Ribena ad or maybe the backing track to a clip from a BBC trailer? The UK television advert music database has lovingly compiled the answers - fully searchable, of course.
1001 Free Fonts
Still the best and most accessible source for great-looking font designs for Windows and Mac and links to loads of other free web resources. Try "Agent Orange", "Asimov" and "African" and that's just getting started on A.
6. Content Management Demystified
Not quite sure what a content management system really is? inframes.com's Jon Ewing explains in a few hundred words how we use our own software suite, known as Streamline, every day to
do literally hundreds of operations with a single click, saving us around 2,650 hours.
