1. Welcome
Thanks for reading this update from inframes.com, the creative internet technology company.
A message from the editor:
Wimbledon... Glastonbury... the sound of leather striking willow - if we're not very much mistaken summer is upon us so we thought we'd better update you all on what we've been up to in the last few months, and what we might be up to in the next few.
Firstly, please take note of our new phone number (see item 2 below.) This is already up and running and will continue to work when we move offices over the next month or so. Secondly, a sincere thank you to all our recent clients; we've given some of you a plug below.
Last but definitely not least, we'd like to introduce our latest innovation: PressReleased.com, a web-based organisation and liaison tool for PR professionals. We're very excited about it, so please take a moment to read on and find out more..
Have a great summer!

2. 0845 6445513 Is The Magic Number
inframes.com is moving offices soon, and so we don't lose touch with all our friends (yes that includes you), we've got a new local rate phone number that will work wherever we relocate to. Please update your address books, mobiles, post-it notes and memory with the following: 0845 6445513. More news as we have it..
3. PressReleased
Is your PR company keeping you up-to-date? Does your PR company give you secure, online reports on their activity 24/7? No? Well, it's time they did. PressReleased.com, the online PR report centre from inframes, lets you read and approve the latest press releases, meeting minutes, cuttings, product evaluation requests and other journalist enquiries wherever you are. All you need is your web browser. Call us on 0845 6445513 (local rate) or visit http://www.pressreleased.com to find out more.
4. Grab Yourself Some Sun
One of our recent clients, Chelmsford-based tour operator Direct Connection has just launched the latest incarnation of their website, offering fantastic holidays to the Mediterranean and the Canaries at great prices. inframes.com helped to reorganise the back end of their operation using SQL Server 2000 and ColdFusion MX to help them bring the best holidays to their customers more easily. Check them out here - you might just find yourself on a plane to somewhere hot!
5. Freedomland Goes To Budapest
Our colleagues at Freedomland, Europe's largest Internet TV company, have recently moved into the Hungarian market and taken our Streamline Content Management system with them. Adding multi-lingual capabilities to Streamline didn't prove too difficult once we realised with great relief that we didn't have to learn Hungarian. It's as much as we can do to buy a newspaper (Szeretnék -ni vesz ez újság, just in case you were wondering).
To find out more about Internet on your TV, click here, or here to get the lowdown on Streamline.
6. WTPS Competitions
Like getting something for nothing? Got a DVD player? Well our daily news website WhatThePapersSay.co.uk gives away more goodies than you can shake a stick at, whatever that means. Over the last couple of months we've given away DVD box sets of Steven Spielberg's sci-fi epic Taken and The West Wing, plus Michael Moore's anti-gun exposé Bowling For Columbine, Meera Syal's Anita and Me, footie culture clash comedy Bend It Like Beckham and loads more.
Right now, you can win copies of The Animatrix, a set of nine animated shorts set in the world of The Matrix. Just register at www.wtps.co.uk and answer a few easy questions. What are you waiting for?
7. Free Laughs!
inframes.com has been working with the premier television tickets company in the UK, Standing Room Only, to streamline their booking system. Standing Room Only can get you in to see your favourite comedy and chat shows being recorded - from V Graham Norton to They Think It's All Over. And best of all - the tickets are completely free! Do yourself a favour and visit www.standroom.com for more info.
8. Nude, Tattooed, Frankenstein Food
Our daily What The Papers Say poll never fails to surprise us with its results. Here are some recent ones.
21st May:
Do you believe in things that go bump in the night? We were amazed to find that over half our readers do, with 6% of them claiming to have actually seen a ghost. Superstitious lot. 40% think it's all a load of rubbish.
12th June:
With "frankenstein food" back in the news (when isn't it?) we wondered whether GM food was a viable solution to world famine. Just over half (53%) said they didn't have a problem with GM food, 45% said it was too dangerous to feed to anyone while a tiny 3% think it's fine "as long as I don't have to eat it."
18th June:
We asked whether Selfridges' attempt to bring the tattoo parlour to the high street would tempt anyone. A surprising 50% said it would, while 10% "already have a tattoo and are very happy with it." The remaining 40% aren't fans of body art. Fair enough.
And the rest:
Still on the subject of food, 47% of WTPS readers aren't bothered that the salami they eat might contain horse meat, 50% reckon Big Brother would be improved if the housemates were naked and exactly half of our motley readership said they wouldn't pay their TV licence if they knew they'd get away with it. Honestly, some people.
9. Blitz What The Papers Say Today!
We are still offering our "100% saturation" banner advertising programme on What The Papers Say incorporating both the website and all of the outgoing daily What The Papers Say emails for just £500+VAT for 30 days. 11. Cool Sites
Bullfighter
If, like us, you're sick of business jargon like "future-proof","empowerment" and "thoughtware", you might like to try Deloitte Consulting's 'Bullfighter' plug-in for MS Word and Powerpoint. Bullfighter checks your documents for "business bull" and scores you out of ten. This newsletter scored 8.1, which isn't bad I suppose.
Filmwise
Filmwise.com is a film site with a difference, concentrating on testing your knowledge of the movies with some mind-bending quizzes that'll have the whole office arguing. Don't miss their brilliant "invisibles".
Bookcrossing
Free your books!! Bookcrossing is a great idea - you print out a unique label from the site, stick it on a book you've read and release your book into the wild. Leave it on a park bench, give it to charity or drop it on the train - wherever someone will find it - and its journey begins..
