At the risk of being immodest...
What we do is much more than just making sites look good -
read on to find out about the really impressive stuff that goes on beneath the bonnet of our clients' websites
Content Management
We encourage our clients to take control of every aspect of their website and there are a wide variety of content management systems to suit businesses of every type and budget.
The
Lost in TV website uses modules from our bespoke content management solution, Streamline, providing not just content management but also an integrated email mailing list system that targets customers according to their booking history and demographic profile.
Ecommerce
We don't just make websites for other people, we run our own online retail businesses, too, so we know what it's like on the other side of the fence.
Since 2005 we've run
Spa Deluxe, where you can buy a
pamper day voucher for a loved one valid in 43 luxury health spas in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Web 2.0
Yes, we hate buzzwords, too. But the web is changing and customers have come to expect rich, interactive experiences built from dynamically-generated and user-generated content.
That's what the
Berkeley Communications Group asked for when they launched an internal programme of online training and collaboration to support their public relations franchises.
Copywriting
We didn't design the website for Reading-based
IT hardware firm
Tahex, but we were brought in to spice up the language.
Writing good copy is not something you should leave to a keen amateur. You worked hard to get people to come to your site - that's when you need to hit them with snappy, smart and compelling words that turn them from visitors into customers.
Build Your Own Brochure
When
Sherpa Walking Holidays decided they were going to cease printing and mailing traditional paper holiday brochures, they wanted to replace them with something even better.
How about a brochure where
you decide the contents, excluding the tours that you're not interested in? Where you can flip through the pages just like a paper brochure - but unlike a paper brochure you can zoom in to get a closer look and download PDF files of pages you want to keep?
Facebook Integration
We've been working with
Premier Connections since 2003 and created a complete, bespoke content management system for controlling details of destinations, resorts, hotels, villas, prices and discounts.
To save time uploading Special Offers and Late Availability alerts to their
Facebook page, we created a real-time RSS feed that automatically adds the latest deals. It took a couple of hours and has saved them time almost every day of the week.
Personalised Barcodes
When the boys at
Lost in TV switched from paper tickets to e-Tickets, we created a system that automatically generates PDF tickets containing unique, personalised barcodes that can be swiped by a barcode reader.
Not only does this save the cost of printing and postage but it saves time and the resulting data can be uploaded to their database in one click rather than input by hand.
Country Recognition
Some of our clients have to tailor their products and their prices according to the location of the customer - perhaps because of territorial distribution rights or taxes and duties.
For example, we built the
Biogene website to check the IP address of every visitor to ascertain (where possible) what part of the world they are coming from and seamlessly alter the content of certain pages according to the country they are buying from.
