Black Friday Marketing: Getting Your Promotions Ready

Black Friday marketing and sales

I’ve seen a lot of Black Friday ads, but this is the only one that has brought a smile to my face. Having said that, the grouchy part of me still hates the whole concept, which is made even worse by saying ‘Shipping’ instead of ‘Delivery’. To be fair, this is probably just an ad for the American website repurposed for the British site, so I’ll let them off, seeing as it’s cute.

In case you don’t know, uk.bookshop.org is an excellent site that really helps all those independent bookshops we all went to keep afloat but don’t visit often enough, so think about buying a book or two from them this year instead of you-know-who.

Like it or not, Black Friday is an inevitable part of the sales and marketing cycle now, whether it’s a push for people to buy early Christmas gifts or, in the B2B world, a last chance to bump up revenue before the festive wind-down.

Today we’ve been enabling Black Friday pricing for Sherpa Van and you’ll find black-coded ‘Enhanced Offers’ on Stove World UK to name just two.

And when all this is behind us, we can get on with enjoying ourselves, which is why Big Apple Hot Dogs: Supplying dawgs & equipment to the catering & hospitality trade is shifting thousands of sausages a week to the Christmas markets.

It’s getting late to think about Christmas promotions, but better late than never, so if you haven’t planned your email campaign or social media push, get in touch.
