The difficulty with jobs you don’t do very often isn’t that they’re necessarily hard, it’s that you’ll have forgotten they’re done. Nobody has trouble with the tasks they do every week. It is the one that comes round each quarter, or once a year, that costs somebody an afternoon of working out how it went last time.
A short screencast removes that afternoon, and removes it again every year afterwards. We record them for the jobs your own people do in the website: adding a product properly, putting up a promotion, pulling off the figures somebody asks for at the end of the month. New staff get trained by watching rather than by asking whoever is busiest.
