inframes.com is a small web company in Reading. We've been helping companies cut costs and increase profits since 1999.
We build websites for small businesses, and for many of them we run the site as well, keeping it up to date and bringing in business while they get on with their day-to-day responsibilities. Most of our clients just need to call on somebody who is responsible for their website, in the same way an employee would be if the business were big enough to justify employing one.
That covers the ordinary week as well as the occasional big job. New prices get posted, a product photograph gets cropped and uploaded, a form that has stopped sending its emails gets fixed, the figures get read at the end of the month and somebody tells you what changed. You ask in a sentence and it gets done. There is no brief to write, no need for a group meeting and no purchase order.
Working with somebody nearby
We have quite a few clients we’ve never met in person, but that’s rarely an obstacle – we can always be contacted by phone, email and Zoom/Teams. When the work needs doing, we get our heads down and do it in our own time on our own premises. Being in Reading only matters for the jobs where it genuinely helps to be in the same room: a first conversation with somebody who would prefers meeting for coffee to a Zoom call, a half-day taking photos or shooting video for a local business, or sitting down to train the staff who will be using the site we’ve built.
For those people, we cover Reading, Oxford, Newbury, Pangbourne, Basingstoke, Twyford, Maidenhead, Windsor, Henley and London. For everything else, the distance makes no difference and never has.
What we work on
A lot of our clients run ecommerce websites, so a fair amount of the week is spent working on OpenCart and WooCommerce. If you run an online store, you may already have figured out that it’s hard to find an OpenCart or WooCommerce developer to help with your site, because most of them would rather quote for a rebuild. We will work on the shop you have got.
In addition, we do lots of work with WordPress and we’ve written a few systems from scratch that have been in service for twenty years. We handle hosting and email, search, artwork, copywriting and whatever else needs doing.
